The Flower Garden in Kroměříž: Returning for a Photoshoot After Years
After years, I found myself back in the enchanting Flower Garden in Kroměříž for a photoshoot. This place holds a special meaning for me, as I attended high school in Kroměříž, and both the Flower Garden and the nearby Castle Garden were the spots where I began exploring photography. I’ve wandered through and photographed every corner of these gardens countless times, and they never fail to inspire.
A UNESCO World Heritage Gem
The Flower Garden, also known as “Libosad,” is one of the most significant examples of garden architecture on a global scale. It was commissioned in the second half of the 17th century by Karl of Liechtenstein-Castelcorn, the Bishop of Olomouc. Together with the Podzámecká Garden, it has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1998, a recognition of its exceptional cultural and historical value. If you’re planning a visit to Kroměříž, don’t miss the chance to explore the Flower Garden. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates timeless beauty, this UNESCO gem is sure to leave you in awe. From its historic greenhouse to its iconic colonnade, every corner of the Flower Garden tells a story worth discover.
Capturing Love and Laughter
This time, I visited for a couples’ photo session with Kačka and Jirka. For our locations, we chose the greenhouse and the colonnade—a perfect choice, and realistically the only option, as it was raining that day. Fortunately, these areas are covered, so we stayed comfortable and dry. The rainy weather turned out to be a hidden blessing, as we had the entire garden to ourselves, creating an intimate and magical atmosphere. Kačka and Jirka are an incredible pair. Their humor, playful banter, and undeniable chemistry radiated in every shot. Their love for each other was so palpable that it almost felt tangible through the lens. It was an unforgettable photo shoot, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to capture their connection in such a breathtaking setting.
