In mid-September 2022, I set off to Austria, heading to the Seetalblick Hotel in Sankt Wolfgang, where Míša and Marek — two adventurous souls who have already traveled a great deal of the world together — decided to say their “I dos” in the stunning Lavanttals Alps. When I first received an email from Míša, asking if I would be willing to photograph their wedding in Austria, I almost couldn’t believe it. Austria is one of my favorite places, and photographing a wedding there has always been a dream of mine. What made it even better was that their Swiss shepherd dog would also be joining the celebration. Honestly, how could I resist? After exchanging a few emails and realizing that we were on the same wavelength, it was clear: I was going to Austria to photograph their wedding. My dream come true. Aahhh!
After Míša confirmed the booking, I spent the rest of the day crying tears of happiness. The feeling of knowing that someone values your work enough to pay for it — along with covering your travel and accommodation expenses abroad — is something incredibly surreal and indescribable. Even now, as I write these words, I still get emotional and can’t quite believe that it actually happened. That I’m living my dream because of my clients. Doing what I love: traveling, discovering beautiful places, and meeting amazing people.

Seetalblick is a family-owned hotel where you can speak German, English, and even Czech, thanks to the owner. Míša and Marek discovered this place by chance. When I asked Marek how they found it, he said that they knew they wanted their wedding in Austria, so he picked up a map, randomly stuck his finger on a spot, and there it was — Seetalblick. The moment they arrived, they were captivated by the hotel and its surroundings. And that’s how they found their perfect wedding location.
