The Most Blooming Wedding at KAMJINAM
The last Saturday of July 2021 belonged to this beautiful Czech-Slovak wedding, which took place at KAMJINAM, a stunning wedding venue in Brno. The entire venue is dominated by wood and greenery, creating a modern yet cozy retreat. It’s truly a small oasis of tranquility where you forget you’re in the city. One of the most enchanting aspects for wedding guests is the breathtaking view of the pond and surrounding forests. A true highlight of KAMJINAM is its unique wooden dance floor, an iconic feature you can’t miss. Especially in the evening, when the beams light up, it becomes an absolutely magical and photogenic setting.
A Special Wedding Close to Home
And this is where my elementary school classmate got married! It was the most blooming wedding I’ve ever seen. Plus, for the first time, I had a wedding just 10 minutes away by car, which was a welcome change after the previous celebration that took me on a four-hour trip to Liberec—haha! Barča was getting ready with the two most important women in her life—her sister and mother. And let me tell you, her mom could easily pass as their older sister—such a stunning woman! Baru chose her wedding dress at salon Pilar, formerly known as Hanna Zlín (they rebranded after their own wedding), which, in my opinion, has some of the most beautiful wedding dresses in the country. The moment she slipped into her gown, she transformed into the most breathtaking floral fairy. The dress was simply perfect—delicate, airy, and covered in intricate floral details. Just stunning! The ceremony was officiated by the very kind evangelical pastor Martina Kadlecová, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at another wedding. It was such a delightful reunion. Throughout the ceremony, a choir performed—one that Barča has been a part of since childhood—which made the whole experience even more touching. The atmosphere was filled with emotions, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. And the first kiss? Now, that’s how it should be done! Before the ceremony, I gave Michal (the groom) a little tip—don’t be afraid to embrace Barča for the first kiss, as some couples tend to just lean in awkwardly, which can feel stiff and impersonal. Well, let me tell you, I did not expect him to go all in like that! It was absolutely perfect, and I honestly think he could teach a masterclass in first kisses. So, grooms-to-be, take notes—don’t be afraid to really seal the deal!
Day Blooming with Flowers and Love
The entire wedding was filled with flowers and natural elements at every turn. From the floral decor to the sweet bar, the photo booth, and even the stunning floral wedding cake. The cake, by the way, was made by Barča’s sister, Kristýna, and was beautifully adorned with dried flowers that their parents had been carefully preserving in different colors and sizes. It was almost too gorgeous to eat—but trust me, it was absolutely delicious!
One of the most creative moments of the day was a game prepared by the couple’s friends. While we were off capturing stunning wedding photos near the pond, they hid paper mushrooms around the venue. Why? Because Barča’s maiden name was Houbová (which means ‘mushroom’ in Czech)—such a clever and meaningful touch! Throughout the day, the mushroom theme kept popping up in the most fun and unexpected ways.

After the ceremony, we took their first husband-and-wife photos near the nearby pond and its picturesque surroundings. The natural beauty of the area, combined with the love radiating from the newlyweds, made for the dreamiest wedding pictures.
