Intimate wedding at Lounge Katerain Opava

Katerain Opava – this is a place that will instantly capture your heart. Its rustic atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff will charm you from the moment you step in. Besides a great culinary experience, you can also enjoy a wellness break here. I traveled to Opava at the end of June to capture the memories of this lovely, intimate wedding. It was a short photo session where I documented the ceremony, a bit of fun, and some beautiful couple shots. Kája and Matěj exchanged their vows at the Petr Bezruč Cultural Center in Opava, and the celebration took place at Katerain. This wedding was truly incredible! Surrounded by their closest loved ones, it was filled with tears of joy from every corner and an absolutely unforgettable atmosphere. The love that radiates from Kája and Matěj is something truly special.

The original plan was to capture their love and newlywed moments at the Hradec nad Moravicí state castle. However, it turned out to be unusable due to an event taking place there, which seemed to have attracted half of the Czech Republic! We could barely drive through the crowd, so we decided to move on. No worries. Adventure and improvisation are always part of the game. I suggested we drive a little further until something caught our eye. Not long after, we stumbled upon a beautiful spot in nature with an adorable (and maybe slightly creepy, haha) little cabin.

It was perfect. A short distance from the cabin, we also found a striking bridge, and even though it was a scorching summer day, the lighting was surprisingly good. The place was so peaceful, it felt like a hidden sanctuary. The entire day was relaxed and just how a wedding day should be, so much so that I didn’t want to leave. Kája and Matěj’s wedding was simply unforgettable — authentic, personal, and filled with love.
