September wedding at Břežany
Toward the end of September, I packed up my gear and headed out to the Central Bohemia — to a tiny village called Břežany, tucked away in the peaceful Czech countryside. Even though fall was technically just around the corner, the whole day felt more like summer in disguise. Warm air, golden light, and that feeling of calm you only get when you leave the city behind. Honestly, it’s the kind of setting that makes you slow down and just be in the moment. I knew from the second I arrived that this was going to be something special.
A rustic farm venue that’s the real deal
The entire wedding day took place at a local farmhouse — and not just any farmhouse. This one had serious character. Think that timeless kind of beauty that doesn’t need much to shine. It still holds onto the original rural charm of the past, but in a way that feels authentic, not forced. What I loved most is that the space wasn’t cluttered or overly decorated. Just natural textures, quiet corners, and a vibe that made you feel like you were stepping into a lived-in family story. It was the perfect backdrop for a cozy, rustic wedding in Central Bohemia.
Saying “I Do” under the walnut tree
The ceremony was something else. Anežka and Jan chose to exchange their vows under a big, beautiful walnut tree right in the garden of the farm. It was simple, heartfelt, and incredibly moving. No massive floral arch, no microphones or choreographed entrances — just two people surrounded by the people they love most, saying yes to a lifetime together.
The sun filtered softly through the leaves, and every now and then a breeze would rustle the branches above. It was one of those moments where time kind of slows down, and all you can do is soak it in. As a wedding photographer, these are the moments I live for.
Portraits in the golden fields of Břežany
After the ceremony and lunch, we took a little time to wander through the nearby countryside for their couple portraits. Just a short walk from the venue, and we were surrounded by open fields. No need for props or poses — just Anežka and Jan being themselves, laughing, holding hands, and taking it all in. We wrapped things up back at the farm, shooting a few final frames in the garden as the light dipped lower behind the buildings. The whole day had this effortless beauty to it, and that energy stayed with us right through the evening.
A day full of heart (and sunshine)
If I had to describe this wedding in one word, it would be genuine. Every detail, every moment, felt real and full of heart. From the location to the people to the sunshine that refused to give in to autumn — it all came together in the most natural way. This rustic countryside wedding in Central Bohemia reminded me why I love what I do. It’s not about big trends or flashy details. It’s about connection, intention, and those in-between moments that say everything without needing words.
