Small family wedding at Valtice Castle

At the beginning of June, I took a trip to the stunning Valtice Castle to capture the beautiful memories of a small family wedding that took place there. This baroque castle is not only the main landmark of Valtice, but it also leaves you breathless with its impressive architecture and stunningly ornate interior spaces. I couldn’t wait to experience this place, especially as I was about to photograph such a special event—Peťa and Kamil’s wedding.

Valtice Castle is a true gem, and it was the perfect setting for a small, intimate wedding. Peťa and Kamil chose to say their vows in the castle’s chapel, which dates back to 1730. This chapel is absolutely gorgeous—ornate, but not overly extravagant. Despite being centuries old, it’s incredibly well-preserved and has this timeless, elegant charm. I knew right away that it was going to be an unforgettable day.

Perfect Timing for Newlywed Photos

I spent about four hours at the wedding, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of joy. The ceremony in the chapel was followed by a celebration in the White Hall, where the reception and all the fun took place. I had never been inside the White Hall before, so it was a pleasant surprise to see the space from a completely different perspective than I would as a typical tourist. The light, airy room with its beautiful details added to the perfect atmosphere for the couple’s special day.

When it came time for the couple’s photos, everything went smoothly. We managed to take beautiful newlywed portraits in just about half an hour. The weather seemed to play in our favor—until, of course, we finished the shoot. As soon as we wrapped up, an intense downpour began! If we hadn’t timed it so perfectly, I don’t know how we would’ve managed. It was one of those moments when everything just clicks, and I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome.

It was such a wonderful afternoon, and I’m truly grateful to have been part of Peťa and Kamil’s small family wedding at Valtice Castle. From the beautiful surroundings to the lovely couple and their families, it was an event filled with love and joy. I’m always thrilled when I get to capture such intimate moments, and this wedding will be one of those special memories I’ll carry with me. Thank you so much for trusting me to be part of your day!
