Villa Stiassni: Fall micro wedding
The final wedding of my 2024 season took me to the magnificent Villa Stiassni in Brno. This architectural gem, built between 1927 and 1929, was designed by the renowned Brno architect Ernst Wiesner for the family of Jewish textile magnate Alfred Stiassni. It was my very first time visiting this villa, and I have to say—it completely took my breath away. The combination of the beautifully preserved building and its stunning gardens is simply unmatched. Every corner oozes elegance and charm. I’m so grateful that Péťa and Jirka chose this extraordinary venue for their micro wedding and even more honored that I got to be the one to capture their special day.
From the very beginning, the day was nothing short of incredible. The moment I saw the bride, Péťa, approaching with her radiant smile and an energy that can only be described as pure, empowering femininity, I knew this wedding was going to be special. The ceremony itself was the perfect mix of heartfelt and joyous. It was touching yet lively, filled with laughter and happy tears.
As is tradition, we followed the ceremony with group photos. Let me tell you—posing and shooting in such a stunning setting as Villa Stiassni was an absolute dream. Afterward, the guests departed for the reception venue at Velká Klajdovka, giving me the perfect opportunity to have some one-on-one time with the newlyweds and create unforgettable portraits of the two of them.
Newlywed Portraits in a Dreamlike Setting
This is where the magic truly unfolded! We explored the villa and its breathtaking gardens in-depth, capturing those intimate moments that every couple dreams of. During our pre-wedding consultation, Péťa had mentioned that her dress was from Tvůj Honeymoon Bridal Salon, so I knew it would be stunning. But the reality completely exceeded my expectations! Her gown was nothing short of spectacular. The fabric, subtly shimmering with a delicate sparkle, was pure perfection, especially when the sunlight hit it just right. The dress combined with her long veil was a photographer’s paradise—it gave me so much to work with and made every shot feel like art.
An Intimate Reception
Once the portrait session wrapped up, we joined the guests at Velká Klajdovka, where the rest of the day unfolded. The intimate reception space was beautifully decorated in a natural, minimalist style that perfectly complemented the wedding’s overall vibe. Everything was thoughtfully curated to enhance the cozy and elegant atmosphere.
As the day progressed, the couple cut their cake, danced, and celebrated surrounded by their loved ones. The energy was infectious, and the entire event was a perfect culmination of love, joy, and togetherness. It was one of those weddings where time flies because every moment feels special.

A Perfect End to My Wedding Season
This wedding at Villa Stiassni was an unforgettable way to close out the 2024 wedding season. From the stunning architecture and gardens to the heartfelt ceremony and intimate reception, it was a day filled with beauty and emotion. For couples planning a micro wedding in Brno, I can’t recommend Villa Stiassni enough—it’s a venue that offers endless possibilities for breathtaking moments.
