This lookout tower was built in 2022. Located between Vysoké Pole, it is one of the creations of the Zlín-based architectural studio M.aus Architects. This 15-meter-tall tower is made of larch wood slats, with a concrete base. In the future, a water project called Vlachovice on the Vlára River, covering 2.13 km², is planned under the lookout tower. This will definitely add an interesting feature and a great enhancement to the already stunning views from the tower. The Vysoké Pole lookout is a beautiful new structure in a remote location, and it immediately caught my eye when we visited it with my family. As soon as I saw it, I began imagining photo shoot scenarios and immediately knew I had to organize a couple’s session here.
A Couple’s Photoshoot at the Lookout Tower
I was able to make this happen because, when we started planning the couple’s photo shoot for Peťa and her partner Kryštof—both dear friends and colleagues in the industry (Peťa is a wedding photographer, known as Fotím vzpomínky, and Kryštof is a DJ, aka Dj Fullhouse)—they were also drawn to the lookout. So, in the second half of November, we headed there. The journey to the tower was quite an adventure. In just about forty minutes of driving, we experienced nearly all seasons: rain, hail, and even a brief moment of sunshine.
To be honest, I didn’t have high hopes that the shoot would actually happen. But eventually, the weather calmed down enough, and at least it wasn’t raining. It was still really cold, though. However, we managed to survive the shoot, and despite the chilly atmosphere, which felt like a “story of frozen wedding vendors” in the middle of November, we all had a great time. The photos turned out even better than we expected. Who would have thought that a frozen, gloomy date at a lookout tower could turn out so epically?
